Shiptypes

This page shows you a list of the most common ships available in the game. The list of shiptypes is growing though, and not all shiptypes are known to the player at the start of the game. Some can be discovered by help of starfleet-research-ships, some may be recovered by researching the ancient race's technology.
Wasp
This micro-battleship is the ideal weapon for conquering unguarded planets. And you can send a Wasp along with your better ships to draw away enemy fire.

Aggressor
A light battleship, very well suited for the aspiring-yet-not-so-rich emperor. Most independent planets will have a few Aggressors. You will not conquer a whole galaxy just by the help of Aggressors, but it is perfect for securing your borders. And for conquering independent planets.

Klytaimnestra
The Klytaimnestra is the backbone of every victorious fleet. The Klytaimnestra is strong, reliable, and can cover three jumps per turn. Use this ship to dominate the skies of the galaxies planets.

Alpha
Your basic mining ship. It mines and produces 20 units of steel every turn. And you need a lot of steel for all your spaceships. But the alpha is a bit expensive.

Beta
To produce more advanced ships, you will need uranium ore, or even uranium. The Beta will produce 5 units of ore per turn.

Gamma
Some very advanced ships need uranium for construction. The Gamma transforms uranium ore to uranium.

Small shipyard
This small shipyard is used to produce .. well... small ships. It is ideal for a small empire, but you will soon have to produce more and bigger shipyards, because this one has a very limited production capacity.

Medium shipyard
This shipyard has twice the capacity of its smaller cousin. This means, you can produce two small ships at the same time here, and even better: You may produce medium sized ships like the Klytaimnestra here too.

Repairman
The repairman is a small ship that will automatically repair damaged ships that are located on the same planet. But it has limited capacity, so choose wisely which ships to repair, and don't place all of your damaged ships near this one. Or buy a few more Repairmen to help.

Watchtower
You want to protect your borders, but you don't want to scare your ally? Then the Watchtower is a good choice. It is a purely defensive system and cannot be used in attacks. This makes it a lot cheaper than an equally strong offensive weapon. While it won't withstand powerful ships like the Klytaimnestra, you can use a few of them to protect your borders from a blitz-attack by an armada of small ships.

Defender
Just like its small brother, this is a defensive system. Strong enough to protect your gateway planets, it is also perfect for defending newly "aqcuired" planets from being taken back.

Short Range Radar
This entrylevel radar will lift the fog of war nearby. (You will not need radar ships if your galaxy has no fog of war). You will be able to see all planets that are one or two hypelinks away from this radars location. So produce two or three of these inexpensive stations, and place them on the (opposite) outskirts of your empire.

Medium Range Radar
This radar can scan planets until a distance of 4 hyperlinks - that should be enough to know where to strike your enemy first. But be warned: if you place a radar like this onto the border of you empire, your neighbour might get alarmed quickly.

Thunder
The name says it all. This destroyer class ship will breach your enemies defenselines. But it lacks speed, so you should not rely on defending a big empire with just a few Thunder-ships.

Monster
Just one word: Destroy! This mighty collossus takes no prisoners. Hard to come by, but once you own one, your enemies will fear you. Move it to your border planets, and your neighbours will start begging for mercy!
